Thank You for your gorgeous piece. I don't think anyone who has written about Bob has gotten even close to your insights into how the man makes his songs. Most of the other books about him are full of speculation about who they think he is.
They don't seem to be interested in how he writes the songs, which is the whole point, isn't it? You are.
Having spent time with Bob myself, I experienced some of the same things you have written about : his being in the moment at all times, (outside of time ) and his antenna receiving those messages only he can hear, and how unlike he is from all those thousands of books written about him.
How brave you are to write so honestly about the unique relationship you had with him.
Re-do, lol. Hi Christina. Once again there is warmth in your words because it is from personal memories. And the observations are from the point-of-view of a woman, also an artist.
Bob, the uniquely gifted, observant spiritually focused dear funny human.
PS I’m patiently waiting for your convo with Laura Tenschert. [if it should happen…]
Another great piece Christina. I thoroughly enjoy the way you “take us there” with you in your recollection of what seems like a magical moment in time. Thank you for sharing the memories and wonderful observations.
