Your perspective and descriptions are so visceral. I was listening to an interview with Dylan from that time period about how some performers play because they need the love that the audience radiates back to them but that was not a motivation for him. He said that he had all the love he needed around him. Even though he's playing for himself it has to be a bit of a soul punch to give so much and have reviewers oblivious to what has been given to them.

Yes, I will write about that next week, his reaction to the review! I was so surprised that is was, as you say, such a soul punch! It made me aware that he is, after all, still human. xx

Thanks, Jeff...Well, I can barely believe it myself! The only way it makes any sense at all that he invited me along and we felt so close, was taking into account that memories of past lives is really common after all, and if you don't brush them away like annoying insects landing on you, and stop to look at them, they turn out to be little pieces of thread that you can follow, and they lead you back, which is what I'm doing...and I see him doing in his songs... xxx

Thanks for sharing this, Jeff...I have to confess I don't believe Bob is the one answering this...but maybe, who knows?

certainly defines...ahem!!..certain age group.......like where were you when JFK got shot ...or 9/11...       might make teensy questionnaire...            where were you... where was yr life.  when you heard...Mr. Tambourine Man       Hwy 61...sad eyed lady...like a rolling stone...simple twist of fate..    like 8 or 10 or 12 of yr favs...        & somehow show responses...

      ...heart...

At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used

Go to him he calls you, you can't refuse

When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose

You're invisible now, you've got no secrets to conceal...

....& soul...

And every one of them words rang true

And glowed like burning coal

Pouring off of every page

Like it was written in my soul

From me to you

Tangled up in blue...
